Thank you to all who turned up for the planning discussion on
Thursday 6th July. It was heartening to see such a good turnout of members interested in their club's well-being and to hear their ideas and thoughts on the club's future direction. It was also good to receive the written comments from those who couldn't attend. Some of the ideas put forward will be added to the strategic plan, while others will be addressed as part of running the club.
And talking about running the club, it's now time to consider the make-up of the next
Committee!!. If you feel that you would like to be part of this then fill out the nomination form enclosed with
the July Bulletin, or if you feel that there is someone in the club who should be on the Committee then approach them and twist their arm (not too hard!) and put their name on the form. This is your chance to have some influence on the general direction and management of the club and also gain experience in the running of meetings.
At present, committee meetings take up approximately two hours once a month, and the enthusiasm within the committee is contagious and enjoyable. So give it some thought, or oven better - give it a go!
